Does anyone else have a spouse who has that weird corporate mindset?

I had a girlfriend who thought the business she worked for saw her as family. But of course it did not. First, they cut her hours in half and then they laid her off.

Cured her of those misapprehensions right quick. I felt bad for her of course but everyone has to learn this lesson the hard way, I think.
