I’ve been called “gay” (mostly by women, by the way!) for these things:

• Knowing how to cook.
• Listening to mostly women artists.
• Being able to decorate credibly.
• Knowing by sight who painted or sculpted art in a museum.
• Liking stage plays.
• Eating salad.
• Eating vegetables in general.
• Knowing the names of movie directors.
• Having women friends.
• Reading books.
• Using a hairbrush.
• Liking tennis.
• Liking women’s tennis specifically.
• Dressing nicely (business goth).
• Having more than two pairs of shoes.
• Having a large vocabulary.
• Knowing the names of more than three colors.
• Preferring cars that aren’t neutral colors.

And many, many others I am forgetting. Those are just the ones I can recall in a few seconds.
