Today, this would be considered harassment and an invalid way to meet someone for romantic purposes. Gen Z norms are that you shouldn’t become romantic with anyone you have met first in person.

One of the things I do have to admit I still enjoy in my field is dropping in on a call that four grown-ass adults have been on for two hours, and solving their issue in thirty seconds flat. (That they should have been able to solve themselves, I might add.)

It still holds up, and has some great acting in it even from actors I normally do not care for. And some of the effects are still amazing — not just for 1982. For today.
Do people really read 50-page proposals?
Sure, when I have an extra 10-15 minutes I’ll give something like this a read. 
I am a fast reader and it doesn’t take me long. But no matter how speedy or poky a reader you are, why would you not read a vendor proposal? Seems pretty important even if you’re not the one signing it.
