Indeed. I now put the chances of a Great Recession-like event in the next two years at 90%, which is the highest I ever go for any systemic event.

I think if Harris won, given her general…. nothingness and cluelessness the US would have one type of collapse (and major societal upheaval given the dems’ devotion to ideas firmly rejected by most voters).
Trump won and since he has terrible judgement and is letting Musk do whatever he wants… the US will have a different type of collapse.
Collapse was probably inevitable given the lack of realistic candidates and non-insane policy priorities.
I wouldnt’ care much but here in Europe… probably a different type of collapse is in the offing…
